Since today (7/21/2024) was National Ice Cream Day & we were already in Lubbock, TX, I took my girls for a cold sweet treat to Holly Hop Ice Cream Shoppe. This place is a beckoning back to the days of Buddy Holly. I could love it more if it had a good thorough cleaning and better seats, but that's it... The homemade ice creams we tried were absolutely divine. I tried Coffee. Just delicious. Definitely had that coffee flavor. My oldest daughter ordered a scoop of midnight mocha or something like that... it was delicious. My youngest wanted the mystery flavor called Big Blue. She determined it was vanilla with lots of blue dye, but it was so much better than ordinary vanilla ice cream! Scoops were half off today! Two kid's scoops and a regular scoop for me all in dine-in cups was under $6. The young staff members were friendly and eager to help. Thanks for the throwback vibes!
What a fun place. The guys behind the counter were very attentive. The restaurant was fantastic. A blast from the past. What a great way to end our evening.
Holly Hop Ice Cream Shop is such a cute and fun ice cream shop. They have so many flavors of ice cream and so many sizes to choose from. I had a great experience there. I made great memories and took rememberable photos with my family there. The workers are so kind. I love them so much. The prices there are low. I RECOMMEND!!!
I am from out of town and my wife wanted some Ice Cream so we found this shop and wanted to try a hometown shop. The first you smell when you walk in is the fresh waffle cones. They have so many great flavors and the service was great too. I highly recommend them.
My favorite ice cream shops!! I love the the cinnamon sugar flavors they have out and I have been going weekly for the past 4 weeks since my friend introduced me to it! I adore this place!
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and it was popping. Apparently a fun-stop for the pre-teen age group. I ordered a scoop of birthday cake ice cream in a very fresh tasting and crisp waffle cone. Creamy goodness. It wasn't very frozen and it melted quickly, but I really didn't mind wolfing it down quickly.
Went with a group of about 15 people and we had the best time. Our lunch order came out very quickly and all orders were correct. Everyone enjoyed their food and went back for desserts. A wonderful time was had by all and food was delicious.
